That’s a wrap for the Kane family at Saint Thomas Aquinas...’08...’11...’19 Congratulations, Kourt! KU has some great memories in store for you over these next 4 years!
You’ve been watching over us for 3 months now, and as the season changes into Spring, it reminds me so much of you. This time of the year always seemed to hold a special place in your heart, and no, not because your birthday fell in that season, but rather, because you loved everything about nature, plants blooming and birds chirping. Some of the fondest memories I have took place in your backyard, where we’d go to feed the birds and fish in your pond, while you would spend time making your garden look like perfection. Thank you for the lessons you taught us and all of your love you continuously shared in your life. Happy birthday, we love you and we miss you so much!
I imagine this is pretty much all KC has seen for the last 12 weeks with this brutal winter❄️🥶and although it’s only dusted 2-3 times in Nash this winter, all of that KC snow led Nash to break the record for the most rain fall, in February...none of that is super important, but hey, here’s a picture Leah took last year while we were in Vail, CO🤷🏼♂️
Wishing you all the Merriest of Christmas’🎄— from the Kanes

2️⃣6️⃣ is in the books, and it was far from uneventful this year! A lot happened in just a few days, so here is a quick recap of the birthday week festivities. Thank you all for the birthday wishes, and a big thank you to everyone who made the past few days special. Especially, my lovely girlfriend, who braved a trip with me to urgent care and then proceeded to host an amazing birthday date night; and my family, for showing me love all day, and then leaving a surprise birthday present for me upon arrival home, after a disgruntling Chiefs loss! Thank you and love you all😁
Surprised my little sister by flying home for her senior year musical, and it was awesome. Sometimes the little things make the biggest impact. You killed it, Kourt!
Crikey! Would you look at that beaut!🐍

“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal. Love leaves a memory no one can steal.” - Irish Proverb It’s been a month without you grandpa, and the realization has started to set in... we can’t call you and hear your voice cheerfully say “well hello!” on the other end of the phone, we won’t see you on the sidelines of our games/events wearing our number as you proudly did, we won’t be able to go over to your house on Sundays and listen to your daughters laugh so loud that it hurt your ears, and we won’t be able to listen to you talk about your beautiful wife and family that you were so proud of every day of your life.... realizing those days are forever in the past is hard to come to terms with, but you did life right and loved by your wife, 10 children, 26 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, every step of the way. You and grandma watch over us, like I know you already are and keep sending us signs from above, like this snowflake that you sent me on the day you passed. You’re with your pretty lady now, and I couldn’t be happier and more at peace knowing that our family has the best guardian angels possible, watching over us. So here’s to you grandpa, may I live half the life that you did. I love you and miss you more than ever🍀
